{"id":7897,"date":"2026-08-04T10:19:11","date_gmt":"2026-08-04T07:19:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ogresmuzejs.lv\/ieva-akuratere-concert-the-day-before-the-baltic-way\/"},"modified":"2026-08-04T10:19:11","modified_gmt":"2026-08-04T07:19:11","slug":"ieva-akuratere-concert-the-day-before-the-baltic-way","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ogresmuzejs.lv\/en\/ieva-akuratere-concert-the-day-before-the-baltic-way\/","title":{"rendered":"Ieva Akuratere Concert: The Day Before the Baltic Way"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>On 22 August at 2:00 PM, as part of the Ogre City Festival, the &#8220;Path to Freedom&#8221; exhibition will host a concert by Ieva Akuratere, dedicated to the Baltic Way. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The concert is organised by the Ogre History and Art Museum to highlight the significance of the Baltic Way and the Third Awakening in Latvia\u2019s history, while inviting the public to commemorate together the events that shaped the country&#8217;s path to the restoration of independence.<\/p>\n<p>Together with <strong>Leons S\u0113j\u0101ns<\/strong>, the acclaimed guitarist of the band &#8220;P\u0113rkons&#8221;, and her son<strong> Mat\u012bss Akuraters<\/strong>, a virtuoso percussionist,<strong> Ieva Akuratere <\/strong>will perform both the iconic songs of the Singing Revolution and powerful acoustic arrangements of<strong> Juris Kulakovs\u2019<\/strong> compelling compositions.<\/p>\n<p>As in all of Ieva Akuratere\u2019s concerts, this performance will bring audiences together through shared memories and hopes for the future, inspired by the power of song.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"left\">Admission to the concert is free of charge. However, due to the limited capacity of the museum, attendance is possible by invitation only. Free electronic invitations will be available through the Bi\u013ce\u0161u parad\u012bze ticketing system from 10 August at 10:00 AM.
