From June 25 to 28, Swedish\u2013German artists Christoph and Sebastian M\u00fcgge visited the Ogre History and Art Museum, where they will be creating a new exhibition in spring next year.<\/p>\n

During their visit, the artists explored Ogre and its multilayered history \u2013 they visited the Ogre market, the Ogre sanatoriums, the former Ogre Textile Factory, as well as the museum\u2019s buildings and collection.<\/p>\n

Together with the author of the exhibition \u201cDawn of Ogre,\u201d Zigm\u0101rs Jauja, and architect Ilze Mek\u0161a, we took a walk through Ogre, paying particular attention to the city\u2019s architecture and its historic concrete bollards. Meanwhile, Ogre Technical School student Beatrise Krista Cei\u010da presented her vision of the former Ogre Textile Factory to the artists.<\/p>\n

Christoph and Sebastian M\u00fcgge are internationally recognized artists whose works are regularly exhibited at biennials and contemporary art institutions across Europe. In their artistic practice, they explore traces of history and the possibilities of their interpretation, using the language of contemporary art and various artistic means of expression.<\/p>\n
