R\u012bga\u2013\u0112rg\u013ci railway line, an exhibition dedicated to the outstanding film director Sergei Eisenstein, historic cinema equipment, and a real marine navigation light signal as a tribute to Juris Podnieks. The site also features an environmental installation \u2013 a giant table dedicated to cinema greats. The table is six metres high, with two chairs beside it and a stylised porthole in the backrest of one chair. Stairs built into the table allow it to be used as a viewing platform.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Kinostacija&#8221; originated when the &#8220;Arsen\u0101ls&#8221; film festival team and like-minded individuals travelled to \u0136eipene, a place where carrier pigeons were once used for communication. \u0136eipene has no cemeteries, churches, or pubs, but it does have a magnificent historic railway station where visitors can meditate with cinema greats, &#8220;call&#8221; Since 1961, the building has housed Taurupe Secondary School. It is surrounded by a freely designed park, planted mainly with local tree species. The Taurupe Great Oak grows on the park&#8217;s south-western side.<\/p>\n<p>The museum collects historical materials from the parish and its immediate surroundings. The Taurupe Manor complex is an architectural monument of local significance.<\/p>\n<p>The Taurupe Manor granary is a significant cultural and historical heritage site that serves as a modern, multifunctional community centre. The granary\u2019s first floor houses a local history exhibition presenting evidence of Taurupe\u2019s past, its notable personalities, and key events \u2013 from successful farmers and cultural figures to the Knights of the L\u0101\u010dpl\u0113sis Military Order, true legends of Latvia. Multimedia art is also incorporated into the exhibition, helping to create a rich historical atmosphere.<br \/>\nA special room, &#8220;Atrastais Purv\u012btis&#8221; (&#8220;Purv\u012btis Found&#8221;), is dedicated to the great master of painting Vilhelms Purv\u012btis, who was born in Taurupe Parish. Its permanent exhibition introduces visitors to the history of Birzgale Parish and its rich cultural heritage. Children can enjoy the Dwarf Park, which features solid-wood figures of dwarves and a family of hedgehogs.<\/p>\n<p>2021. In Birzgale Parish\u2019s Dwarf Park, an environmental object titled &#8220;Laiks&#8221; (&#8220;Time&#8221;) has been installed \u2013 a clock that serves as a unifying symbol and meeting place for the residents of Birzgale Parish. Maz\u0101 Jugla in 1917. During the First World War, Latvian Riflemen fought against the German army near T\u012bn\u016b\u017ei. The exhibition features previously unpublished photographs, weapons, uniforms, and various artefacts discovered at the Maz\u0101 Jugla battle sites. The exhibition is based on materials collected during the operation of a museum established in 1985 by the collective farm (kolkhozy) &#8220;Kopdarbs&#8221; to research the history of Ciemupe. The museum operated until the end of the 20th century, 90. during which time various old tools and household items, photographs, and recorded memories were collected. For many years, these materials were stored at the Ciemupe Culture House and were not accessible to the public. Following an initiative by the association Ciemupe Readers\u2019 Club &#8220;Share the Joy&#8221;, the former cinema hall was renovated to establish the Local History Room. Today, the Ciemupe Culture House and library ensure that the collection continues to grow. During the summer months, the castle is open to visitors every day, by appointment.<\/p>\n<p>Sunta\u017ei Castle, which has survived to the present day in a reconstructed form, is currently used for educational purposes. Built in the 18th century, it was later modernised, giving it a Neo-Gothic appearance. After its destruction in 1905, the castle was restored by its last owner, Baron von Hanenfeld.<\/p>\n<p>The castle\u2019s premises house an exhibition on the history of the castle, the parish, and the school. Visitors also have the opportunity to climb the castle tower. Its creator, Agris Liepi\u0146\u0161, built the castle himself, beginning in 1997.<\/p>\n<p>The castle grounds are enclosed by a defensive wall, behind which inhabitants could seek shelter in the event of an attack. In the centre of Me\u0146\u0123ele, a monument to Sudrabu Ed\u017eus, created by sculptor Vilnis Tit\u0101ns in 1984, has been erected, and Dull\u0101 Dauka\u2019s Grove has been planted.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition dedicated to the writer and the history of the parish is located in a building that also houses a kindergarten. The exhibition features antiquities collected from the homes of Me\u0146\u0123ele residents.
