Ogre History and Art Museum Invites You to the Masterclass “The Creation of My Tree”

In a creative and open atmosphere, as part of the exhibition “GEOPROCESSES”, participants are invited to draw their own unique tree using the neurography method. Together, we will explore processes of self-becoming, growth, and continuous transformation, drawing parallels with processes in nature. We will observe sensations, note emotions, capture thoughts, relax, and enjoy the shared experience.
Neurography is a drawing method focused on meaning and reflection that helps identify internal blocks, recognise inner strength and resources, clarify dreams, and discover new paths towards achieving them. The method was developed in 2014 by Russian psychologist Pavel Piskarev, who emphasised that everything in nature consists of lines and circles — the two core elements of neurographic drawing.
The term neurography combines two words: neuro (from “neuron” — nerve cell) and graphy (drawing), and is often translated as “brain drawing”. By drawing lines, we activate neurons connected to the chosen topic, encouraging new ways of thinking and the formation of new neural connections.
No prior knowledge or artistic skills are required. All necessary materials will be provided; however, participants are welcome to bring their own coloured pencils, felt-tip pens, or markers if they wish.
The masterclass will be led by artist and certified Neurography specialist Liena Subatiņa–Brazeviča.
