The life of wood, from a seed to a mature forest stand in a commercial forest, spans 100 years. Significantly, this period almost coincides with the duration of organized and thoughtful forest management in Latvia.
The exhibition covers a century of the industry and introduces the history of forest management and the training of forestry specialists. The inspiration and basis for the exhibition stem from the collection of materials and artifacts from the association ‘Forest History Museum’.
Ogre Forest Technical School and the Ogre Training Center “Course Base” have played a significant role in preparing and further educating specialists in the field.
