Each artist has her own vision of creative space, yet both draw inspiration from nature and incorporate nature motifs into their work. In Sanri’s paintings, vibrant shades of blue, turquoise and pinkish-orange dominate, interspersed with accentuated plant and landscape motifs. Meanwhile, Una Gura’s large-format ceramic objects, stone-like in form, are covered with a rhythmic raised “bump” pattern. Combined with her nickname, Unella, this has given her works the name Pumpunella.
