Museum Night in Ogre Attracts Several Thousand Visitors

Museum Night takes place annually throughout Europe. That year, with the unifying slogan for Museum Night’s theme in Latvia being Veidenbaums’ words ‘Time rushes faster than a wagon wheel,’ the Ogre History and Art Museum invited visitors to erase the boundaries of time, forget about everyday life, and get closer to the stars.

Together with StarSpace from Suntaži and the ‘Zinoo’ curiosity center, we gazed at the stars, launched paper rockets into the sky, learned what a red sun signifies, and how to make elephant toothpaste. The event concluded with a performance by the alternative music group ‘Ansamblis Manta’. In total, about three thousand guests attended Museum Night.
