“Man is a puppet guided by divine forces,” as the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle once said.

2020. On January 26th, the museum hosted a lecture by Ināra Liepa titled “THE HISTORY OF DOLL ART IN LATVIA AND THE WORLD,” which discussed the history of dolls and professional doll art — how it originated, developed, and what its current state is.
Following the lecture, a paper doll masterclass took place, where each participant had the opportunity to create a wonderful and unique paper doll, designed by Ināra Liepa, using details from 19th-century paper dolls and Christmas tree ornaments.
