Presenting her album “Conarium”, the unique Latvian singer and performance artist Elizabete Balčus performed at the Ogre History and Art Museum. This concert was one of the stops on her musical journey across Latvia.

Elizabete designs her concerts as mini theatre performances. Musically, they are eclectic collages featuring electronic beats, flute improvisations, loops, toy instruments, and vocals which, through various techniques and effects, serve harmonic, melodic, and rhythmic functions. The performances are complemented by real-time visualisations and spontaneous actions.

Elizabete Balčus is a musician, singer, and composer. She graduated from the Latvian Academy of Music, specialising in flute, and later continued her studies at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory of Music in Rome. She is also a member of the bands “Sus Dungo” and “Karaliskā dekadence” (“Royal Decadence”).
