The exhibition River brought together professional artists from the three Baltic States, each presenting a unique perspective on rivers through paintings, graphic works and installations. It served as a prelude to the diverse Ogre City Festival Life is a River, inviting visitors to explore its themes with greater depth, creativity and nuance.

The exhibition united like-minded artists: Antanas Obcarskas (Lithuania), Giedrė Riškutė (Lithuania), Nele Zirnīte (Latvia), Agnija Ģērmane (Latvia), Linda Dombrovska (Latvia), Laura Feldberga (Latvia), Signe Vanadziņa (Latvia) and Peeter Krosmann (Estonia). Some had previously met at art symposiums in Lithuania, Latvia and India, while others collaborated here for the first time.

During meetings with the artists, visitors also had the opportunity to experience the performance Dark River by the interdisciplinary art group Ideagnosis. Notably, Laura Feldberga – one of the exhibiting artists – is also a member of this group.
