The archaeological collection of the Ogre History and Art Museum is primarily based on individual finds discovered at archaeological sites in the Ogre district, including Lielvārde, Ikšķile, and Ciemupe, as well as materials from excavations at Lielvārde Hillfort in 1987 (led by J. Urtāns) and the Krapes Rogi medieval cemetery in 1993 (led by I. Bernāte). The collection includes artefacts dating from the Stone Age to the 18th century.
