The archaeological collection of the Ogre History and Art Museum is primarily based on individual finds discovered at archaeological sites in the Ogre district (Lielvārde, Ikšķile, Ciemupe, etc.), as well as materials from excavations at Lielvārde hillfort in 1987 (led by J. Urtāns) and the Krapes Rogi medieval cemetery in 1993 (led by I. Bernāte). […]
