On behalf of the creators of “Geoprocesses”, we invite you to the discussion “Nature-based solutions: opportunity, delusion or consolation?”, which will take place at the Ogre History and Art Museum on February 21 at 13:00–14:30.
The discussion will be attended by a doctoral student in environmental geography, Mg. env. sc. Karīna Ješkina, “Baltic Studies Center” researcher Mg.sc.ing. Annija Danenberga, designer Mg. hum. Tīna Alise Drupa and “Baltic Environment Forum” senior expert and project manager Dr. geogr. Anda Ruskule. Together with the discussion leader – University of Latvia Assoc. Prof. Anne Sauka – they will share knowledge and reflections on nature-based solutions, society’s readiness to implement them, as well as the challenges and problems associated with them.
After the discussion, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the exhibition “Geoprocesses” on display in the museum, enjoy snacks provided by the museum, and meet for conversations.
Meanwhile, from 15:30 to 17:00 , we invite you to participate in an interactive workshop “Element Games: Get to Know, Feel, Remember.”
Who is the tree I was once friends with, and why did I like sitting in the sand so much as a child? The practicum invites you to appreciate the role of inexpressible experiences in human-environment relationships, to remember your own stories of feelings, and thus participate in the exhibition yourself.
