On August 23, 2024, the exhibition “‘At the Golden Linden’ – The Legend of the Ogre Cafe” was opened, dedicated to both the building and the events that took place within it.

The exhibition includes several narratives—the cafe’s economic activity during the Soviet occupation, the control of the All-Union joint-stock company “Intourist” (which served as a cover for the State Security Committee, or KGB), and the cafe’s operations today as the social enterprise “Ogres Zelta Liepa.” Former employees of the cafe also attended the opening, and the Chairman of the Council thanked them for the cafe’s legacy as a place of significance for both locals and visitors.

The exhibition features materials from the National Archives of Latvia, the Ogre History and Art Museum, and private collections. Exhibition creators: Mag.art. Māris Grosbahs, Curator of Exhibitions and Displays at the Ogre History and Art Museum; Bc. hist. Kristīne Zaķīte, Historian at the Ogre History and Art Museum.
