Costumes by costume designer Anna Muna for the rock opera LĀČPLĒSIS — an exhibition in collaboration with the Ogre Cultural Center

With vivid emotions, impressive stage scenography, and a palpable sense of community in the air, the new production of Zigmars Liepiņš and Māra Zālīte’s legendary rock opera LĀČPLĒSIS premiered in Lielvārde on July 28, 2023. Meditating on the image of each character, the aspect of Light has been crucial for Anna Muna: “The story of Lāčplēsis is a story about a Hero. And, upon receiving the opportunity to participate in the creation of this fabulous heroic tale, I asked myself — what can I do to increase Light?” reveals Anna Muna.
