Historians Kārlis Kangeris and Ritvars Jansons participate in the discussion, during which they address several controversial issues, including Rūdolfs Bangerskis’s position as Inspector General of the Latvian Legion regarding the memorandum of the national resistance organisation, the Latvian Central Council; the differing views of Jānis Balodis and Krišjānis Berķis on the development of the Latvian army; and the circumstances surrounding Berķis’s being lured from Finland by the KGB for repression, among other topics.
Ritvars Jansons and Kārlis Kangeris are currently the only historians who have been able to examine Krišjānis Berķis’s KGB criminal case materials and his written diary.
