2024. On November 29, 2024, the Ogre History and Art Museum hosted a discussion on the activities of national partisan Kārlis Kvants. The discussion complemented the museum’s exhibition “Ogre Region Field Studies,” whose author, Ikuru Kuwajima, visited various locations in the region while creating the exhibition. In Meņģele, the Japanese artist met Dzintars Kvants, the son of Kārlis Kvants, discovered photographic materials, and presented the story of Kvants’ national partisan group as interpreted by the artist. The exhibition was on view from November 15, 2024, to February 16, 2025.

The discussion featured Dzintars Kvants, son of Kārlis Kvants; writer Sarmīte Poikāne; artist Ikuru Kuwajima; and museum historian Mg. hist. Inese Dreimane. The discussion on historical events in the region was moderated by Dr. hist. Ritvars Jansons.
