The life of wood, from a seed to a mature forest stand in a commercial forest, is 100 years. Significantly, this time almost coincides with how long organized and thoughtful forest management has been taking place in Latvia.
The exhibition covers a century of the industry and introduces the history of forest management and the training of forestry specialists. The inspiration and basis for the exhibition is the collection of materials and artifacts from the association ‘Forest History Museum’.
Ogre Forest Technical School and Ogre Training Center “Course Base” have played a significant role in preparing and further educating specialists in their field.
